Embracing the Journey

On the journey to build your self-esteem, self-worth, self-confidence, self-acceptance, and self-love, you could read all the books, watch all the videos, and listen to all the podcasts.

But here’s the hard truth: none of it will work unless you do the work yourself. Real change requires action and effort. You have to take those strategies you learn and actually implement them in your life.

Understanding the Process

It’s crucial to understand that this journey is a process, not a destination. It’s not something you do for a while and then, boom, you’re fixed.

Instead, it’s an ongoing journey of growth and transformation. You have to be committed to that continuous growth and change.

There will be times when the journey is so challenging that you’ll think it’s pointless and want to give up. But those are the moments that define your progress.

Stepping Out of Your Comfort Zone

The truth of the matter is that in order for you to change, you’ll be going against everything you know.

You’ll be stepping out of your comfort zone, and you will face resistance—not just from others, but from within yourself. You will fight against your old habits and beliefs.

Sometimes, it’s easier to stay in an uncomfortable but familiar state than to risk the unknown. This applies to various aspects of life: relationships, career, personal growth, and more.

Building Yourself

Another critical insight is that you can’t really find yourself. You have to build yourself.

This process involves multiple layers. You’ll have to work on various areas of your life: mindset, education (beyond formal qualifications), relationships (with yourself, friends, family, coworkers, romantic partners, and even your spiritual beliefs), finances, confidence, and health (mental, physical, spiritual, and financial).

It’s all interconnected. This is why understanding that it’s a journey and not a destination is so important.

Acceptance Over Perfection

Your goal is not to fix yourself but to accept who you are so you can become who you were meant to be. It’s essential to give yourself grace and be patient.

I’d love to tell you that after reading a dozen books, you’ll transform into this amazing butterfly. Sadly, that’s not how it works.

Unlearning to relearn takes time. But it is so worth it. One day, you’ll realize you feel better about yourself and your choices and you’ll look back and think, “Wow! I’ve come a long way. How did I survive that? Nobody but God.”

Commitment to Change

You only reach that place of peace and pride if you remain committed. They say people don’t change, but I believe that’s a lie from the pit of hell.

People can change if they truly want to and if they stay committed to the process.

Remember, we are not perfect, and you must never aim for perfection. I say this as someone who struggles with perfectionism: trying to balance high standards with doing things to the best of my ability.

Inspiring Others

I’ll close with this: I don’t want anyone to look at me and say, “I wish I was like her.” Instead, I want people to look at me and say, “Damn, if she came this far, then I’m sure I can too.”

Remember, this journey is about continuous growth and self-discovery. Stay committed, be patient with yourself, and embrace the process. You are capable of incredible change.
