Hey, friends!
Today I just want to share six books that have definitely made my life a little bit better. These aren’t just books I read once and forgot about—they’ve actually helped me shift my mindset, process life, and feel more grounded. So let’s get into it!
1. My Gratitude Journal
This one is super close to my heart. It was actually a gift from my husband, and it’s honestly one of my favorite things to use. Gratitude journaling has helped me shift my perspective so much. On days when things feel heavy or overwhelming, I take a few minutes to jot down what I’m thankful for, and boom—instant mood shift. It’s simple, but so powerful. It’s a practice that has helped me to have a more positive outlook on life, and one I definitely recommend.
2. The Mountain Is You by Brianna Wiest

Listen. If you haven’t read this book, please do yourself a favor and get it. Self-sabotage is real, and this book digs deep into it. It’s like having a mirror held up to all the ways we get in our own way—and then it gently helps you find your way out of that mess. I highly recommend it.
3. Anchored in the Past by Shanique Bruce

This one is by an independent author and a good friend of mine—and wow. If you’ve been holding on to pain or regret that’s keeping you stuck, Anchored in the Past will speak directly to your soul. It’s honest, healing, and exactly what I needed when I read it. You won’t regret picking this one up.
4. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck by Mark Manson

I’ve read this book multiple times, and each time it hits different. It’s all about letting go of the unnecessary stuff we stress over and learning to care about what really matters. This book helped me stop overthinking the small things and start focusing on what actually deserves my energy. If you struggle with people-pleasing or perfectionism, give this a read.
5. My Bible (NIV Translation)
Okay, don’t come for me—I know my Bible looks like it’s been through a lot… because it has! But that’s how you know it’s loved. (Watch my YouTube video to get context.) This is the one book I can’t live without. It grounds me, gives me hope, and helps me realign when life gets messy. If you don’t have a Bible, you need one. I personally prefer the NIV translation because it’s easier for me to understand, but whatever version works for you is perfect. Just get one and read it—it’s life-changing.
6. My Journal
Yes, another journal. Can you tell I love journaling? 😅
This one is more of a brain dump space. I use it to organize my thoughts, process emotions, and just be real with myself. There’s something about putting pen to paper that helps me make sense of everything. This little book has saved my sanity more times than I can count.
So there you have it…
…a peek inside the books that have helped me grow, heal, and just be a little better as a person.
Now I want to hear from you. What are your top six books? Drop them in the comments!
And if you enjoyed this, let me know! I’d love to share more of the books that have inspired me or made an impact on my journey.
