My Dear Reader (can you tell I watch too much of The Bridgertons? 😅),
I have been absent for a bit, but truthfully, a lot of learning and self-healing has been going on behind the scenes.
Wanting a more personal connection with readers has always been important to me. However, as an introvert, opening up and being vulnerable doesn’t come naturally.
I even tried the whole content creation shiznit, but let’s be honest—as a wife and working mom with three boys at three very distinct stages of development (toddler, middle schooler, and teenager…send help😭)—ain’t nobody got time for that.
Side note: I did a free personality test to learn more about myself. Apparently, I am INFJ-T.

About This Publication
Letters from Lis is a space for honest reflection, spiritual growth, and mindset shifts that foster lasting peace.
The “Letters” will be written in journal entry style—personal, sometimes raw, always real. Here, you’ll meet a side of me that I don’t always share with the rest of the world.
It’s not about perfection, but about honest progress, faith, and becoming whole.
So what can you expect here?
Well, here’s what not to expect: polished perfection. I mean, the letters will probably not be littered with spelling and grammar errors and whatnot, but they certainly will not be “polished”.
I won’t be polishing my words, voice, message, or experiences. No performance, just being.
It’s where I write about what it means to live when you’ve actually been broken.
Every so often, I write heartfelt “letters” on what it means to heal, rebuild, and design a life that feels aligned—even when it looks nothing like what you imagined, and I want to share these with you.
These will be letters that tell the truth about:
- carrying wounds that still ache
- healing in layers, not endings
- taking responsibility for your life without erasing pain
- choosing to grow while still being imperfect
- learning how to live with the parts of you that are still healing
- and so much more
You’ll peek into my life as I share my adventures in motherhood and career, faith and friendship, and lessons from my marriage.
Oh, yeah, you can also expect the occasional recipe or organization tip, and even random things I find useful.
Yep. It’s about to get real personal up in here. 🥲
At the core, Letters from Lis is where I will explore what it really means to design a life you’re proud of—especially when you’re coming from survival, scarcity, or seasons of loss.
They’re honest letters for people who are doing the inner work quietly and:
- rebuilding their identity
- unlearning old patterns
- learning to trust themselves again
- choosing growth even when it’s uncomfortable
Through stories of faith, struggle, motherhood, mindset, and rediscovering purpose, I hope to remind you that no matter where you started, you can always become more.
None of that toxic positivity stuff. No pretending you’re fine when you’re not. Just honest reflection — and choosing the courage to keep going even when you want to quit.
